Day 1: A Day for the Contributors
The event kicked off with Contributor Day, which was nothing short of inspirational. WordPressers rolled up their sleeves and got to work, donating their skills to enhance WordPress. The following two days of the conference were just as thrilling. Ending Session with Matt, Josepha, and Matías at WordCamp Europe 2023
After an enthusiastic group photo that brought over 2500 WordPress enthusiasts closer together, we made our way to the traditional closing session.
As per WordCamp custom, WordPress’s founder Matt Mullenweg, Josepha Haden Chomphosy, and Matías Ventura took center stage.
Their session was a trip down memory lane and an exploration of the future, aptly titled “Variations on a Theme: 20 years of WordPress.” They shared exciting details about the recent accomplishments, reviewed WordPress’s roadmap over the years, and ended the session by opening the floor to questions. It was a unique opportunity for everyone in attendance to engage directly with these influential figures in the WordPress community.

A tradition, you can say! After three days of learning, sharing, and collaborating, it’s time to PARTY!
Athens, Greece, is famous for its nightlife, and the WordCamp EU 2023 organizers can’t let you go without a taste of it. In addition, this party for dedicated to WordPress for completing 20 years. The WordCamp EU after-party was at Lohan Athens Nightclub, and it was a night to remember.

The moment everyone was waiting for finally arrived: the announcement of the next WordCamp Europe location. Drum roll, please… It’s Torino, Italy, for WordCamp Europe 2024! To say we’re excited would be an understatement.
We’re beyond thrilled to be traveling to the beautiful city of Torino next year from 13 – 15 June. We’re certain that the event will be filled with more engaging talks, enlightening workshops, and countless networking opportunities. The team at WPExperts is already marking the days off on the calendar and can’t wait to hit the road for the next chapter of WordCamp.
