WooCommerce 11.0 Release

This is great news for developers, store managers, and users. WooCommerce 11.0 gets an official release on July 28, 2026. WooCommerce 11.0 is an impactful, timely, and performance-oriented release that provides users with an array of standout features and improvements.

This blog post describes WooCommerce 11.0-related features and also explains email and customer account features, along with other key enhancements.

Performance Improvements

WooCommerce 11.0 has many performance improvements that help enhance the productivity of larger e-commerce stores. Performance aside, the newest release also values caching and scalability.

Other Features and Improvements

In terms of other features and improvements, WooCommerce 11.0 offers options such as Abandoned Cart/Checkout Recovery and Block Email Editor. Additionally, it includes email and customer account features like email verification for guest orders, an email preview filter, and more.

Now, we discuss these performance-related features and other features and improvements separately.

Product Object Caching Enabled By Default

In WooCommerce 11.0, product object caching is enabled automatically for new stores. The variable products load 9 to 12% faster on product pages. Furthermore, the bundle products process 6 to 12 faster during checkout. This helps stores load quickly without needing additional setup.

Faster Orders Screen

WooCommerce 11.0 offers an HPOS Orders screen query optimization for multi-status lists and empty-search counts that is crucial for optimizing performance for large stores. It allows store owners to see their orders screen quickly.

Smarter Product Count Requests

WooCommerce 11.0 limits and de-duplicates product collection count requests. It helps stop stores from asking the same queries again and saves server resources.

Faster POS Catalog Generation

In WooCommerce 11.0, POS catalog generation has been moved to chunk processing along with controls for timeouts and chunk size. This means that large product catalogs are processed in smaller chunks and help bypass timeouts.

Persistent Status Counters

WooCommerce 11.0 contains persistent status counters. As a result, order and product status counts remain constant. They were recalculated every time users opened their screens previously.

Experimental and Beta Features

Experimental and beta features contain the block email editor and abandoned cart/checkout recovery.

Abandoned Cart / Checkout Recovery

With this feature, store managers can send a recovery email for eligible orders using an extensible set of eligible statuses and a filter. WooCommerce can send clients reminder emails provided they add items to their cart but don’t complete purchases.

Block Email Editor

The block email editor includes Vimeo, TikTok, and Dailymotion embeds. Videos are depicted as clickable thumbnails with play buttons. Thus, WooCommerce emails comprise video thumbnails from these platforms instead of a simple text link.

Email and Customer Account Features

As for email and customer account features, WooCommerce 11.0 doesn’t disappoint its users.

Email Verification for Guest Orders

WooCommerce comprises an email verification path that helps logged-in customers authenticate their email address ownership. They can interlink past guest orders with their account, and they can see their old orders in new accounts upon validating their email addresses.

Email Preview Filter

WooCommerce 11.0 helps store managers conceal fake shipping details if it is not related to an email preview. To do this, they will rely on a new filter that helps extensions hide shipping information and make email previews cleaner and more accurate.

Reporting and Analytics Improvements

WooCommerce 11.0 provides users with reporting and analytics improvements such as failed import retry, sales refund reporting, and visitor tracking. These features and enhancements elevate store management and optimization.

Failed Import Retry

Historical Analytics imports in WooCommerce 11.0 now depict failed jobs. They also provide a retry option in the WooCommerce admin. This lets store owners retry a failed analytics data import with one click and see what went wrong without starting over.

Improved Sales Refund Reporting

WooCommerce 11.0 has included a refund value in each date bucket with the v3 sales report. It makes per-period net-sales calculation accurate. Users can view realistic revenue since the sales report shows refunds separately.

Enhanced Visitor Tracking

Analytics events need a stable visitor ID. This means that store managers can easily and precisely view session and visitor counts. This way, temporary users and bots can be smartly removed.

Other Crucial Changes

In WooCommerce 11.0, users can experience some key changes such as the removal of the product editor beta, phone validation and formatting, stock reservation time, and a new React-based Settings UI.

Removal of Product Editor Beta

WooCommerce 11.0 has eliminated the Product Editor beta and feature flag, editor-specific routes, and related extension points. That said, products and product data are still available and unchanged.

Phone Validation and Formatting

WooCommerce 11.0 enhances phone management with two hooks: custom validation for local formats and non-English numerals. Besides, the second hook lets extensions customize phone number presentation without compromising validation.

Stock Reservation Time

WooCommerce 11.0 has ensured that the default duration for stock reservation is 60 minutes (1 hour). Thus, customers’ cart items are automatically reserved for 1 hour when they check out.

New React-Based Settings UI

A new Settings UI helps users upgrade PHP-based settings to new React-based components. It allows users to merge extension settings in WooCommerce.

Wrapping Up

As you may be aware, WooCommerce 11.0 will be officially launched on July 28, 2026. Thus, store owners, developers, and managers can experience various improvements, crucial features, and more, all in one place. These features and improvements include product order caching activation, a faster orders screen, and email and customer account features.
